Zoom Unveils AI Companion 3.0 and Expands Business Tools at Zoomtopia 2025

Zoom (ZM) showcased a suite of AI-driven enhancements at its Zoomtopia 2025 event, headlined by the upgraded AI Companion 3.0. The tool now leverages deeper contextual understanding to optimize user productivity by analyzing work habits and priorities. CEO Eric Yuan emphasized its role in minimizing distractions and driving measurable business outcomes.

The company also unveiled advanced AI integrations for customer and employee support via Zoom Customer Experience and Zoom VIRTUAL Agent. A new Custom AI Companion feature allows tailored assistant creation, while cross-platform note-taking, hyper-realistic avatars, and presentation-to-video clip tools round out the productivity suite.

Separately, Zoom committed $10 million over three years to AI education initiatives, with half dedicated to K-12 programming. The balance will fund global grants for AI upskilling programs.
